About Me ResumeResumé

Image 2Most of the time I'm a librarian, which I love, and the rest of the time I'm a writer, which I love even more.

At an HR training for my day job in 2008, I got out a pen and started writing the novel that had been in my head for ten years. Since then, I've drafted six other books, and was accepted to the MFA creative writing program at Northern Arizona University. I also edited a newsletter entitled High Country Highlights.

Image 2I earned an honorable mention in the Samuel Larue Finley Humorous Writing Contest for this story, and in 2015, published a short story in Curios Magazine entitled "Porcelain." In 2014, I published a chapter in Now Write! Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. In 2012, I wrote an article for School Library Journal entitled "What Teens are Really Reading" and was featured on the website Dear Teen Me. I also published a short story in this anthology.

I write a blog, created a Twitter feed, and can be reached by email. If you're interested in my librarian stuff, it can be found here.
